I have been asked by the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association to create paintings of their 2011 honorees. This is a project I am very excited about. Thus far, I have met Delbert McClinton, Lee Roy Parnell and Bruce Channel. I sat in on their TV interviews and took some photos of Lee Roy, which I used for his painting. Sports and music have always been passions of mine (in addition to my lovely wife) and becoming the artist for the TxHSA is an absolute honor. Plus it’ll be FUN!! I look forward to a long partnership with ‘em.

Events surrounding the honoring of these noted songwriters start March 5, 2011 in Austin, Texas and I’ll be at the events displaying and selling the prints.
