Hello Sports Art Fans,

I just returned from the 2009 National College Baseball Hall of Fame induction in Lubbock Texas. This event just seems to get better each year. I can imagine what it’ll become once ground is broken on the brick and mortar building. The plans are for a 27,000 sq ft building that includes a state-of-the-art, kid-friendly, 7,000 sq ft interactive room; a recessed baseball field; and more features too many to mention in this short post. The folks that designed Minute Maid Park and the new Kansas City Royals Museum are heading up this project. The results will be a destination vacation stop.

The inductees this year, included Joe Carter, Kirk Dressendorfer, Barry Larkin, Keith Moreland, Rafael Palmeiro, Ron Polk, Branch Rickey, and Todd Walker. Gordon Gillespie could not attend as his wife has become ill and Darren Dreifort could not either, as he is recovering from hip surgery. My best wishes to both.
